Knife Sharpening

Domestic customers are always welcome too, so just reach out to us, and we'll arrange a convenient time to visit you at home or work plus, we'll teach you how to sharpen your knives using a steel, which is included in the price.
Salon Service
We operate from our fully equipped mobile workshop so will not disturb you at work.

Over the years we have developed a 10 step sharpening procedure which ensures an 'as new' standard when complete.
​
If you need scissors whilst we are sharpening yours, that's no problem we can loan you a pair.
Emergency repairs: Common damage to scissors after they have been dropped is around the tip and nicks in the centre of the blade. If you are unlucky and the damage is severe, we strongly recommend putting your scissors aside and contact your sharpener as continual use of a badly damaged scissor may render it irreparable.

Hairdressing scissor brands we sharpen regularly include: Matsuzaki, Paul Mitchell, Jaguar and Joewell Tokosha.
Animal Grooming
Dog and Horse Clipper Blade Sharpening: Our blade smiths have years of experience combined with the very best hollow grinding technology to ensure the highest standards.

Included in our sharpening procedure:
1) De-magnetise blades,
2) Disinfect blades using our ultra-sonic bath
3) Test and adjust spring tension

We hold spares for Heiniger and Andis clippers.
​
Dog Clipper Servicing and Repairs: Our servicing department repair and service all major brands of clippers. Regular clipper servicing is essential for your clippers to run fast and efficiently, therefore saving you time and money.

In addition to regular servicing, we would advice having a back-up set of clippers in case of emergency.
Don't give up on that old pair sitting at the bottom of the drawer, we may be able to salvage them!
